Hola Rafa, no entiendo muy bien como va lo de los puntos estos pero veo que cada día tienes más. En tres meses más alcanzas a Diego ...
Te doy 4 estrellas por lo que seguro va a ser una gran página, y de nuevo te animo a que te curres una de la Maladeta. Por cierto cuando tenga mi web en marcha, ¿me enviaras reseñas?
Por supuesto que te enviaré lo que quieras (escribir en castellano me cuesta 10 veces menos que en inglés) y tengo CD´s con fotos de mi cámara digital a porrillo (más de 1500 o así) que no precisan ni el trabajo de escanear. Están los de mi grupo de montaña preparando algo tipo summitpost en castellano (tenemos un informático y todo que viene en el grupo) que también me piden que les prepare alguna ruta cuando lo acaben; de momento está un poco en pañales la cosa creo (están probando). Mantenme informado de lo tuyo.
Lo de los puntos, pues hombre, importa porque significa que a los montañeros les gustan los montes que pongo y el trabajo que me pego para dar a conocer esta maravilla que son los Pirineos, pero es muy relativo. No compito con nadie (y menos con el fenómeno de Diego) simplemente aprovecho las facilidades que nos da la informática para mostrar mis fotos y los montes que me gustan para que se anime más gente a conocerlos. Si me dan puntos mejor pero si pongo algo que no gusta lo borraré y ya está aunque pierda algún puntillo.
Lo de la Maladeta está un poco crudo porque no tengo ninguna foto (ni siquiera desde la cima del Posets porque no veía ni torta). Tengo algún libro pero sin haber estado me parece mal poner algo de segunda mano (es copiar un libro sin más y no me gusta mucho). Intentaré remediarlo en el 2004 dándome un paseo por allí si puedo (tengo ganas).
Tranquilo que este monte me lo conozco y tengo mucha información por lo que al menos añadiré 2 o 3 rutas más. Tengo también fotos con nieve pero son más antiguas y tengo que escanearlas todavía ya que entonces no tenía mi cámara digital actual. En un par de semanas estará bastante decente (no tengo vacaciones y las tardes en navidad me dan para poco).

La cuarta estrellica para cuando la cosa esté más completa. Ya intentaré contribuir yo con alguna que otra foto y de momento declaro inaugurada la ruta desde el Col de Erroymendi.

Thanks, I've see the page of Mt.Wilson and it's true. Both are beautiful peaks. The different of 2000 meters it's not so important, the Ori in Navarra is high.
gracias, esta es una montaña muy especial para nosotros los navarros. Es mítica por muchas cosas pero sobre todo por ser el primer 2000 oficial del Pirineo. Es un pedazo de monte aunque en verano es muy sencillito porque la carretera te recorta mucho. La ascensión invernal es durilla (todavía tengo agujetas en los brazos de ayer de tanto clavar el piolet,...supongo es la falta de costumbre). La vista es sublime (yo no sé ni cuantos cientos de Km abarca esto, pero es la suerte de estas montañas tan altas en una zona nada habitual separadas del grupo principal) e incluso he utilizado el paisaje para encabezar mi página de Los Pirineos-range.
Thanks for an interesting page. I'm going to Bayonne for a few days on Thursday, and am planning on an excursion to the Pyrenees. However, will not have a car - is it possible to get to the Larrau Pass with public transport? (I've figured out to get the train to St Jean Pied de Port, but the internet lets me down from then on).

in this moment the peaks over 1700-1800m in Pyrenees has a lot of snow. The road to Puerto de Larrau is probably closed. I saw the peak full white ten days ago. Normally the road to Larrau is not used in winter (they don't clean the snow) and the people use it as route of ski-cross-county in the small station of Abodi (renting of ski, snowshoes,...). The port of Larrau is not used to travel to anywhere and don't exist public transport. A very good option in the area is the climb of some of the peaks of Sierra de Abodi but I only know the route from the village of Otxagavia (South) and it don't has French access. The landscape is great and the route is easy but the Ory is very technical in this moment (crampons, ice-axe,...). This year one people died one month ago.
If you want a nice peak easy and without complications you can climb Jaizkibel (it has page on SP) very near of Hendaye or San Sebastian, with transport. It's not very high but from Pasajes de san Juan (Donibane Pasaia) is beautiful. Another nice peak is Larrun (900m) from Sare, but the summit has a small train until it!, but the landscape is very wide. Is better to climb walking and not taking the train of course.
you can search information on internet about Okabe (1466m), a great mountain at NW of Ory with easy route but I don't know the transport to this area. I think that probably don't exist public transport to Casas de Irati or Iraty-Cize.
the Pic of Behorlegi (with page on SP) is beautiful, but the village is very small to have a train or bus probably.
You mus forgive Ory in one or two months except if you love the alpine climb with technical conditions. It's very easy without snow but not with snow.
Thanks for the response. Because I'm travelling light, I won't be able to bring crampons and ice axe. Thanks for the heads up on the conditions - I guess I'll try something lower and more accessible. Okabe sounds good, or maybe Adartza, which I think is wakable from St Jean.

Adartza is a very nice peak. I climbed two years ago from Valcarlos/Luzaide, a small village in Spanish side very near of St Jean. From St Jean is a little longer (I think ---it's about 11km to the top from St Jean...5h? I don't know). The way is confuse in some points because exist a lot of paths and tracks for the people of the area with small houses (caseríos) in the mountain-->>the use of a map is advisable. The panorama is wide and the peak is easy to climb. The French people normally climb from St Etienne de Baigorry (4h to the summit)
