Ortler seen from north from...
Ortler seen from north from the Reschenpass road (September 1985; I have been there several times later but not with this fine photo light). The peak on the left is the Koenigspitze/Gran Zebru, the one on the right Thurwieserspitze. The long ridge left of the summit is the Hintergrat. The normal route from the Payer hut leads directly over the ice cap
