I think most of us who worked at the Y-camp in Estes did this combo.
Attempted via Andrews glacier, turned around below the glacier after getting lost and burning too much time. Doh!
with Michael and Kevin.
Did a circuit up Andrews Glacier, Otis Peak, Hallett Peak, and Flattop with my wife and brother. Perfect weather.
The third of 7 on the way to Chiefs Head. A nice loop hike, interesting little peak just off the divide.
Total ascents = 3. The 3rd climb was via the East Ridge from Lake Haiyaha ... nice variation from the standard route.
Otis, Hallet, Ptarmigan Point, and Flattop are some of the easiest high peaks in Rocky Mountain National Park to reach via the Flattop trail. The most dangerous part this day was when I was going back down the trail, tripped, and broke my arm.
Interesting route, with many house-sized boulders.
Combined this with Taylor for a sublime fall outing in RMNP.
I wanted to take my mom and brother on a fun hike while they were visiting me from ND. They loved peaking three mountains and sliding down Andrew's Glacier.
Was going to stroll up Taylor as well but the weather ruled otherwise.
Great climb but couldn't spend too much time on the top as a thunderstorm was moving in.
Did Flattop, Hallet Peak, Otis, and half of Taylor (someone in our group had to get back for work:-( Good views- good times coming down Andrews Glacier- Andrews tarn is amazingly beautiful!
Climbed with pksander, Brad Snider, brenta, and coloradoiceclimber. It was very windy and snowy, but a great climb nonetheless.
Great climb with Fabio, Brad, Jared, and Andy in wildly varying weather. Hands down the most beautiful climb since I moved to CO. The climb from The Loch to the top of Andrews Glacier was especially enjoyable.
Had a great day with brenta, pksander, Andy, coloradoiceclimber. Very windy, lots of snow. The glacier was a lot of fun.
