Not exactly a shell jacket, but this product can fit in several categories.
It is the lightweight backpackers dream: It can be used as a raincoat, tarp, bivy sack and much more.
The stud fasteners on its edges can be use to join two or more together to form a shelter or turn it in to a bag for bivy use.
I bought one and used it on a bicycle backpacking trip. I was so satisfied with it that I bought another for my sister and I’m thinking of buying a third to lend it to hiking/backpacking partners so we can clip them together.
