Product Description

NO-AD is a line of sunblock lotion that I first found at Wal-Mart, it was cheaper than any of the other brands because they don't spend any money on advertising. I assume it is available in other stores as well, especially large discount stores. It is also available in Peru, but is much more expensive here.

It comes in the various common SPF ratings in a lotion, as well as I have some in "stick" form like a large lipstick tube. It also is available in various formulations, including for children and babies, as well as for sunless tanning.

Features

It is waterproof and sweatproof, has a pleasant non-overpowering smell (not coconut!) and is non-greasy. According the the label, it retains its SPF rating up to 80 minutes of activity in the water or sweating. It contains aloe vera, cocoa butter and vitamin E, and provides a broad spectrum UVA and UVB protection for the skin. The active sunscreen ingredients are Octinoxate (Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate), Octisdalate (Ethylhexyl Salicylate) and Oxybenzone (Benzophenone-3).

A great product
I originally bought NO-AD for the price but have found it to be as good or better than any other sun screen that I have ever used. It goes on easily, lasts a long time, and is very effective and preventing sunburn (I usually use SPF 30). I also intensely dislike any sun screen that smells like coconut. This doesn't, it has a very unobtrusive scent. It may just be my imagination, but it also seems to help protect against poison oak. Maybe it helps prevent the poison oak oil from bonding with the skin. Or maybe I'm just more carefull after some bad cases of it (unlikely!). And I still buy it because it is much cheaper!

Awesome! You can stand buck naked on Mercury and not get burned!
I've been using these since 1996. I came across my first bottle by accident whiles working at a Summer camp and I've been hooked ever since.

PROS: Good stuff. Works to block sun, and will not wash off during swims or sweaty activities. Also great moisturiser. Price is the best!

CONS: A little on the greasy side, but hardly a problem. I don't think they make them in smaller, pack friendly, bottles. COSTCO Size only!

Have used it many years
and found it works well even whitewater rafting. I sometimes have problems with commercial creams causing irritation but NO AD never rubs me wrong so to speak. I do find that it is a bit greasy for paddle hands but I still use it faithfully.

Non-Irritating
I have sensitive skin (and I burn if I think about sunshine)I find that a lot of sunscreens with all sorts of scents and whatnot can actually make me break out from being in the sun (!?!?) but this stuff is cheap, doesn't smell too much, and works well. And did I mention this stuff is cheap?
