Features

The S2800HD is officially the world's smallest 18x zoom camera! Following in the S2500HD's footsteps, this camera has an impressive feature set, which combines a generous 18x Fujinon optical zoom lens, with a small lightweight body. This camera, although aimed at serious photographers, still allows you to have some fun. The Smile and Shoot mode is able to recognise the exact moment your subject smiles and Blink Detection warns you if any of your subjects have blinked. You will be pleased to find that, at the longest zoom settings or in the most challenging of lighting conditions, the S2800HD is able to produce crisp, clean images and HD movie results.

The S2800HD bridge camera sports an impressive 28mm – 504mm high precision Fujinon optical zoom lens. This range allows you to capture all the action, both from a considerable distance away and at a great width; from the most cinematic of landscapes to the wildest of wildlife - the FinePix S2800HD has the ability to take it all in its stride. The new Instant Zoom function even allows you to follow moving subjects in standard wide view for easy framing.
Delightfully Easy Panoramic shots

Fujifilm's new Panoramic shooting mode cleverly eliminates the risk of uneven landscapes or shaky horizons. Simply select Panorama mode and start shooting, then align the + symbol into the circle and the shutter will automatically release to seamlessly stitch the shots together in-camera. The result is stunning panoramic shots perfect for framing and hanging on your lounge wall!
Tracking Auto Focus
Lock onto moving subjects and keep them in focus

This function is ideal when photographing fast moving subjects or action shots, as the Tracking AF will 'lock on' to moving subjects and keep them in focus. Simply half press the shutter button and Tracking AF will track and keep focus on your subject. As soon as you fully press the shutter button you will capture a photo with the subject perfectly in focus.
Sharp, clear images

Even at the longest zoom settings or in the most challenging of lighting conditions, the S2800HD is able to produce crisp, clean results with lavish colour and effects. Fujifilm’s impressive stabilisation technology combines the 14 megapixel CCD sensor and the high ISO sensitivity settings to reduce the blurring effects of both hand-shake and subject movement to provide superb pictures.
Good Low-light Performer

Photos taken in low light are often the most disappointing. The S2800 features impressive ISO sensitivity to 6400* meaning it is ultra-sensitive in dim conditions and able to record impressive detail and true to life colours with minimal noise. You can also select the ISO settings manually, so if it's a nice, bright sunny day you can select a low ISO (e.g. 100), or if conditions are dark, high ISO settings will be better at picking up detail.

* At ISO 6400, number of recorded pixels is limited to a maximum 3 megapixels. At full resolution (14 megapixels), sensitivity is limited to a maximum ISO1600.

Beauty is no longer just in the eye of the beholder; the S2800HD has got two new exciting features that work with Fujifilm’s Face Detection system. The Smile and Shoot mode only releases the shutter when your subject smiles and Blink Detection warns you if any of your subjects have blinked so that you can re-take the photo. See example above.
Advanced HD image capabilities

For the complete viewing experience, the FinePix S2800HD is HD enabled and can play-back both stills (1080p) and movies (720p) in superb HD quality. On the big screen your images will appear crisp and even more true to life, a perfect way to share memories - and show off a little! Additionally, the FinePix S2800HD features a mini HDMI port so it's quick and easy to connect to a HD ready TV via a mini HDMI cable. (Type C cable required, sold separately).

As well as the range of great detection functions, the S2800HD has 6 Auto captures meaning framed scenes are automatically detected and selected into the appropriate camera settings: Portrait, Landscape, Night, Macro, Night Portrait and Backlit Portrait.

Photobook Assist

Create a photo album in your camera. Easily accessible and mobile, you can share images with family and friends anytime, anywhere. Installed in-camera, you can create a photobook folder where tagged images will be stored and organized accordingly. Your photobook can also be ordered online for print when connected to the internet*, as well as when you go to stores to get your photos printed**, images can easily be sorted when tagged.
