Paddles

Paddles

Paddles on his first trip up Shastina with Clarence King Lake in the background. He loves the Cascades! Also note, just to the right of Paddles on the summit rocks, is a greenish black scar... the result of a lightning strike.

Re: Question for Paddles...

Yikes!

Shhhhh... Larry if Paddles has more on his list I'll never get a weekend away.

And I'm not sure he knows how to swim!

Something fishy

about all the Paddles summit shots.
I think you photoshop him in.
How could a stuffed animal climb a peak anyway?

Re: Something fishy

Those are fighting words! Careful... Paddles will do whatever it takes to keep his integrity in the hills. A duel with Noondueler perhaps?

Re: Aha!

Look close... that rock rocks too. There is a mark from a lightning strike on it.

Paddles always wanted to be a geologist, but never made it to higher education, too busy climbing. :-(

Way to go Paddles!

...anyone can see he loves it, just look at that smile. But, please, be a responsible parent and put a harness on him :-)

Re: Way to go Paddles!

LOL! Paddles has only free soloed so far. He thinks he is invincible.

I'll have to see what I can fashion up as he ventures out onto more difficult terrain.

Poem for Paddles ...

For winning POTD !

Oh my - he's the coolest of cool,
Smiling on summits like nobody's fool!
Hold on Paddles, don't spill your wine;

Showing the masses how to have a good time!

But wait, don't listen to me,
I'm just a poet with a dark history.

Paddles is in the limelight, probably to stay ...

And just like Dirty Harry, he's makin' MY day!

Aha

Christmas Tiger was wondering where Mr. Paddles had wandered off to. Thanks to your posting his pic, C.T. will now be able to sleep peacefully at night. (He thought Larry had eaten him- C.T. asks Larry to forgive him for such a thought).

Ack!

I'd hate to see anything happen to these guys out in the wilderness. Have to be careful out there.

Thought I had a poem for CT ...

But I ran out of Creative Energy.

Tried to recharge my computer chip,

But Dean's tiger gave me the slip.

Say it ain't so!

Is it true what I've heard about Mr. Paddles? Is he "funny" like that Tinky Winky Teletubby?

Re: Say it ain't so!

Hands off goldenhopper.

Paddles is 0% gay (not that there is anything wrong with it).

What is Paddles?

S/he looks like a bear in a penguin suit. Is s/he a bear that is sneaking up on penguins? Where could that happen (no penguins in the Arctic, no bears in the Antarctic)? Is s/he a penguin that swallowed a bear? I'm very, very confused.

Re: What is Paddles?

Bear in a penguin suit MoapaPk, bear in a penguin suit.

Now why... your guess is as good as mine. Paddles can be a bit eccentric. And he doesn't usually seem to talk very much.

Nor is it easy to catch him with his hood off, but it happens...
