Panorama of Lake Serene from its north end in May 1993. It is generally easiest to circle the lake on the west side as the other side is cliffy and brushy. The route to the Main Summit goes to the 3,000-ft saddle at the far end of the lake then turns right to climb steeply up the lower part of the East Ridge. For more information on the climb, see my trip report. Incidentally, the peak on the left is Philadelphia Mountain (summit not visible).
