Re: That wall...Thanks. The problem with more contrast is that the colours deteriorate. The wall itself actually is right on to to the right of the summit.

Re: That wall...The interesting thing is that they go down for about 1500m to Playa de Taburiente, the plain in the inside of the crater. It's not the only buttress of that type. The most impressive is at Roque de los Muchachos which points out into the caldera for about 800m before suddenly dropping right into it. A very special place ...
You kind of see it on the satellite photo. The Pared is directly to the right of Fuente Nueva.
