We scrambled up the east ridge from the first lake, fun granite, then descended via the pass and trail. Camped overnight, saw other day hikers but no one else backpacking.
Hiked the trail to Grass Mountain Lakes, then to the pass west of the lakes. From there it was an easy cross country hike south, then west on the ridgeline to the summit.
