Glorious day
It had been quite a while that the weather forecast had promised excellent weather, and it was a Sunday too. The forecast proved to be right, and it turned out to be one of the best days in the Alps in the whole summer.
As I arrived on the first bus of the day, the huge parking lot at the Würzjoch was already pretty full and the strenuous trail up to the Peitlerjoch was just one long line of hikers. Though the majority of them didn't go any higher, many still did, and I reckon that a few hundred people must have climbed the mountain that day.

autumn round trip
A great day in fall! We started at Wuerzjoch. The path to Peitlerscharte had already some snow that won't disappear before winter. But the summit ascent from Peitlerschaqrte was almost free of snow. The ferrata could be done without harness. Great views! Long descent via Gömajoch back to Wuerzjch that we reached at dawn.

Normal Route
Route Climbed: via Rif. Genova easy route for a great mountain
Route Climbed: Ascent: from Wuerzjoch via Peitlerscharte, descent: same route Date Climbed: 1. September 2004
Nice route, the last section before the summit is a short and easy ferrata. Unfortunatley we had no sight when arriving at the summit (too many clouds...).
