Penitentes on Cuerno

Dan farther up on the flank of Cerro Cuerno - he's the red dot midway up the picture. Our goal was the couloir trending up and right starting about mid-way up the frame. Finding a route through the penitentes was a great work out - not much fun if your trying to move quickly though. Our high point was near the second to last rock outcropping before we decided to call it a day and head back down to camp. A couple of ice screws would have made the slope above that a little more accessible.
