Running belays...Did you guys use any? Seems like it could be pretty bad if one of the team members slipped there otherwise. Sweet-looking ridgeline!

Unfortunately they weren't with me. I climbed Bernina alone. They were from another party but yes... it could have been serious if someone slipped down.

Yeap... actually sometimes I had the same thought. But it is still better ( sometimes :) to climb with a partner. :))

Re: Running belays...Dirk, you just don't understand modern advanced protection techniques -- if one guy slips on one side of the ridge, his partner jumps on the other side and stops the fall :P Just kidding!
