Just got back from Colorado and had a great time. We succeeded getting to the summits of Audubon, Pawnee, Thatchtop, and Elbert. Got weathered off Arapaho Pass area. We had planned some two-fers (Paiute from Audubon, Toll from Pawnee) but were still in the process of acclimatization and frankly too tired. Snow conditions were quite melted out and no problem at all. Never even used the ice ax once. The only trail that required some attention to follow was the trail to Pawnee Pass, which was snow-covered in places above Lake Isabelle. Otherwise, conditions were quite melted out, especially compared to Cascades conditions which tend to have more snow in June. The Indian Peaks were really spectacular. They seem to be more rugged and jagged than Rocky Mountain National Park and certainly more than the Sawatch Range. Thanks to all of the information.

Thanks for the update, glad you enjoyed yourselves! Yes, we've had a very hot past few weeks, and the snow has pretty much gone bye-bye. I'm sad to see it go...
Go climb a mountain
