How many miles R/T?

Great video, enoyed it. I personally, at this point anyways, do not have any desire to make those winter ascents. Your video solidifies that thought. I guess once you do it though, you experience the satisfaction of the trip?

We camped under Heller Rocks just in case bad weather up high forced us to find something to do lower down. There were a few flurrys on Owens Peak but I'll be horn-swaggled if ...

Lost snowshoes and ice axe on Mt. Baldy, from mid February

We had a club trip (http://alpine.caltech.edu) to Mt. Baldy on two weekends in Mid February, and people lost a pair of club snowshoes and a club ice axe, as well as a personal pair of snowshoes. The club gear is marked with our club acronym "CAC".

If you found any gear, please let me know. Thanks!

Casaval vs. HBR: best route for mid-April

Hoping to try a new route (for me) on Shasta in mid-April. Which would be better, Casaval Ridge or Hotlum-Bolam Ridge?

What are the chances that the HBR trailhead will even be open?

Thanks.
