Backpack around 1 kg

Hi! Looking for a new backpack, mostly for alpine climbing but it will probably also be used for some hiking and general outdoor activities.

Looking at Lowe Pro, CileGear, arc'teryx etc all the packs seem very heavy to me and calling a pack weighting in at 2kg/4 lb lightweight is just dead end wrong in my world.

So if i want a pack that weights in at maximum 1.2 kg, what does the market has ...

Wild Things Gear in NH

Anyone know what's going on with Wild Things? When you look at their website at www.wildthingsgear.com it looks like they're changing their business away from backpacking & climbing gear to supplying military gear. They refer to their Andinista backpack as "legacy gear".

For Sale: Old Climbing Rope for Decoration or ?

I have an old climbing rope for sale. I wouldn't use it for climbing anymore, but maybe somebody could use it for a climbing-themed display somewhere, or for some other light duty use. It's about 20 years old. It was used lightly for about 5 years, and then not at all for the last 15 years. It's turquoise with a dark-blue diamond-back pattern. I think its a 10mm x 50m, or something like that. It's ...

Bi-lingual pages

I'm planning on creating a page for a mountain in Guatemala. I'm wondering if there is precedence for bi-lingual pages, and if that is encouraged or discouraged. I'm a native English speaker, but speak Spanish close to fluently (I live in Guatemala.)
Any input appreciated.
Peace,
Tim

La Sportiva Baruntse...Anyone used these?

Am looking for a new HA mountaineering boot and have been researching the Baruntse. Has anyone used these and have an opinion on them? from what I have read, they run a bit wider than other La Sportivas. I have a EE wide foot with a narrow heel. I have a pair of Nuptse's which are comfortable but a bit tight in the toe box so I'm looking to trade them out. Looking for other ...
