Hey there,
i'm travelling through to mammoth (june 25-29) and then yosemite (june 30-july 3) and am keen to meet up to do some climbing. unfortunately i don't have a car and only have harness and shoes.

i'm a bit out of lead practice, but am totally happy to second single, multi pitch, trad, bolts up to about 5.10's. i could lead lower grades, but not fussed about leading, just happy to get on rock. ...

Summer 2014 - Tuolumne & High Sierra Partner Summer 2014 - Tuolumne & High Sierra Partner

So many amazing routes so little time. I'm looking for partners to tick off some ultra classics routes this summer in Tuolumne meadows and the high Sierra. I have a few down already and wouldn’t mind repeats as well (Cathedral etc).
I lead .8, can follow higher. Not a fan of wide stuff. I have all the gear to aid (literally) so no problem there, plus a pair of 8mil double ropes for alpine. I ...

Mt. Williamson in the summer

Hi,

I am planning on climbing Mt. Williamson via North Fork of Bairs Creek in the week of 6/23/14 through 6/27/14. I know that it should not take all 5 days. However, I do have another permit open for that period.

I also have another plan to do Tyndall and Williamson (if the June trip fails) via Shepherd's Pass in the week of 7/21/14 through 7/25/14. Same permit situation.

If you are interested, please post ...

Mt. Shasta in May

I am interested in attempting a one-day ascent of Mt. Shasta via Avalanche Gulch or possibly Clear Creek as early as May 10. I am a reasonably strong day hiker. For example, I did Mt. Whitney via Mt. Whitney Trail last summer. On the other hand, I have no mountaineering experience, so I am looking for several reasonably experienced climbers, not necessarily from the Bay Area but preferably with knowledge of Mt. Shasta, to join ...

Lettered ice climbs conditions, February 2014

Just got back down from the Palisade Glacier.

Trail is now broken all the way in there. Via epic snow-shod, post-holing, whumphing snow below Sam Mack. No flotation needed below 10500. Get it while its good.

And is it good? Heck yeah! We opted for the U-Notch Couloir on account of a cornice hanging over the V. Epic blue ice for about 40% of the height. Like, crystal blue. All-time aesthetic. But cold and hard ...
