omg really? you think so?
that would be pretty darn nifty!

If you photoshop an animal into it, make up a catchy caption, and then tell lies about how you were so patient and so lucky to get the shot, you'll not only have a lock but will get dozens of fawning comments as well. It doesn't even matter if it's obvious what you've done!

Hi, I just wrote a TR with some images from my website using mrchad9's code. How do I give them a caption? Thanks.

To use an image with a caption and at the same time make it look like it's a regular SP image:

Code: Select all
<div align="center" class="image" style="width: 506px;"><img src="http://rgg.home.xs4all.nl/Schotland/jpg/S017.jpg" width=500><br><span class="caption">A tranquil evening in Scotland</span></div>

Two handy things to know when using this code snippet:
1) If you want a different width, just change the 500, but also change the 506 earlier on. It looks best if the difference stays the same, i.e. 6.
2) To get the whole thing on the left, change
Code: Select all
class="image"

to
Code: Select all
class="image-left"

If you understand this, you'll also know how to position it on the right.

Folks, it's not about knowing how to post something, but about making it easy. :wink:

So let's cut straight to it without the code mess:

-> Get the Image URL that you want
-> Open up the new editor
-> Select the Spot on the Page you want it
-> Click the Insert Image Button
-> Click "Link" which is to the right of "Search SP Images"
-> Insert the URL and click Insert
-> Click the Photo to Edit it's Caption/Change it's Size

I know that sounds like a lot of work, but it takes a few seconds per picture (minus the caption part). 8)
