I agree that the article is just an ad, but I think the profile itself is alright. Anybody is welcome on SP, guides included. Most members don't post little or nothing, some post a lot. There can be all sorts of reasons for that. Some people lack (English) writing skills, some don't have enough time, others don't know enough to write about, to give just a few. In case of guides, I assume that at least they have enough knowledge about areas, mountains and routes, which means that there is great potential to become good contributors. And when I state that SP welcomes guides, it is my opinion that it would be silly not to allow them to say they are a guide in the first place, nor would I want to disallow them mentioning their company.
