Obviously, the late Jim Morrison had something to do with this when he penned the immortal poem: "Celebration of the Lizard King."

Heed the final words of the poem:

"Brothers and sisters of the pale forest,
Children of night ...
Who among you will run with the hunt?

Now night arrives with her purple legion;
Retire now to your tents and to your dreams.

Tomorrow we enter the town of my birth;
I want to be ready ..."

So, as we face the hardships of Life, isn't it better to be READY for anything that comes our way? Drink lots of coffee, Steve.

Some form of Wiki might be okay. I wonder how the original Wiki controls vandalism?

For my first order of business, I will replace all photos currently uploaded to the site, with photos of bavarian serving wenches.

My second order of business would be to require all new photos uploaded to the site be of bavarian serving wenches!

My third order of business would be to forbid any photos of bavarian service wenches that are of asian descent.

Enjoy these new changes would should take effect in my first 10 days of ownership.

The worst thing I hate about SP is small photos. It's 2017, most smart phones are 12mp. Some of these photos are the size of browser icons. I've seen sites that won't let you post a photo unless it's larger than a certain size.

Seriously, SP is broken because so many folks are falling for Political Correctness; nobody wants to take the time to LAUGH anymore unless one of their
"smart phones" falls into a vault toilet @ a remote campground ... then they're in deep dew dew. Right, Steve ???

Well, let's start with this:
1) Too many ads. The huge Google banner is obnoxious. The site feels way too commercial. Why is it there? I vote to get rid of it or make it smaller. It used to be much smaller.
2) The behavior on the "ethics.." board. It drives people away. I understand it isn't "monitored" and it is the wild west, but there comes a point where it pulls down the entire site. Time to raise the bar.
3) Women are discouraged from posting and hanging out on SP. There. Said it. It seems like the only time I see a photo of a women, it is injected for humor. really? not cool.
4) I can't find anything anymore! Where is everything?! Why is it so hard to find postings about simple hike suggestions?

There you go. My .02 - you asked for it.

Point 1- 100% yes, advertising is intrusive.
2)- There used to be a lot of fun "jabs" and light hearted banter. Some here became way to personal with hateful words.
3)- I can't speak to that, haven't noticed but I'm not female so maybe that slid by me.
4)- It is a little harder to search and find what you are looking for.

The ads are over the top obnoxious. This site has basically copied the example of Yahoo... maybe the biggest disaster in Silicon Valley. Why model the site's advertising after the best example of a giant tech company that was completely run into the ground?

And it does not work at all on my IPhone after the latest changes. Apparently Google thinks it does and that helps the search rankings... but it doesn't. I can't even access the menu items or see half of what is supposed to be on the screen. It is a mess.

Can we petition to get rid of the Ad nonsense? You have my vote.

or someone give me a good argument for why it is there.
