I thought you were offering a new recipe for deer steak. Poached venison? ECH on all counts!

Doesn't matter what they call themselves - moot point there.

What matters is they broke the rules, and should be punished at the fullest extent of the law.

Poach eggs, not deer.

They thought they could get away with it by going silent with the bows.
Busted!
Gotta give it to 'em though. Nice try. Pretty ballsy move.

Not cool though. Glad they got caught.

Strange, but this might be related to something I experienced earlier this year. I was up in the Holcomb Valley area (north of Big Bear Lake here in So Calif.) this past springtime doing some dayhiking of the area's smaller peaks. I got stopped by a DFG officer and questioned about what I was doing. He mentioned there was some illegal bow hunting of deer going on in the area and If I saw anything to give them a call. Maybe these were the same guys.

I'll be watching this one closely.

By pleading not guilty, they probably think they'll get a lighter sentence.

I can't believe they left the meat behind. Isn't that the best part of the deer ???
