Eric, you can't start a new quiz. Anyway, I don't know what do you want by giving that link :|

It's not a new quizz, it's a separate one. People who want to help me identifying peaks from the plane are welcome, the others don't have to.

Clue 9 : I recognize Mont Aiguille but I hardly get the connection with this limestone king and your initial mountain...
Clue 10 : é like Eric ? :D

You're hot

Yep.

Eric, if you could give your aerial pics more contrast or use a tool like i'm going to have luck (Picasa). Even you could zoom some mountainous areas in your pics in order to guess what mountains are in those zones

The facebook application "find your sosie" should be extended to SP for the summit quizzes ...

Rick, you should be happy if you know the name of the peak. Say it

Aiguille de la Glière

I checked all Aiguilles (clue 9) in France (clue 5) with a page on SP (clue 3), not in the High Dauphine (clue 7) and not directly in the Mont Blanc group (different rock type), and then found one that looked like the picture (clue 1). This wasn't too much work. You'll see it's the same mountain if you look at the V-shaped feature with the snowy couloir.

Picture is a little misleading, but it's a quite famous one, so I'm having good hopes that somebody recognizes it right away! (I think that's the coolest way to win a summit quiz, rather than all this puzzling ;) )

Hey Rick,

I could name it, but I'll give you a chance to pick another one, because this one has been in Summitquiz before, and I got it right that time so......wanna try again??

edit: 1692M, New Zealand - just to be sure.

Ah really? I didn't know it was a quiz before. Anyway, still good work recognizing it even without the sea in the shot!

I'll see if I can come up with a new one, but I'm quite busy these days so I wouldn't mind if you want to start one. Let's do it like this: I'll think about a new one, but it will take some time before I can manage to post it I think. If you start one in the meantime then that'll simply be the new quiz instead.

It's Mitre Peak, located in the Milford Sound in New Zealand. It's the world's tallest sea cliff, rising more than a vertical mile straight out of the sea. I used a picture that didn't show the sea to make it less easy to recognize.
