This user is getting so tiresome. I know these posts are deleted very quickly, but it would be nice if they could be banned immediately and never show up.

We can't do that unless we ban the IP range for an entire country. These people tend to use proxies, so banning IP addresses slows them down for a day at best.

Anyway, you have to admit some of the pictures they use are hilarious. I get a chuckle while deleting them, at least.

Can we get a bunch of SP members to flood their website with spam? Fair is fair.

I figured there was some reason like that. Would it be possible to instantly delete a profile based on some of the key words that usually appear in the "a few words" field? I don't know much about HTML, so I'm just throwing out ideas.

another option is, is it possible to give folks "limited" mod power to move these profiles off the main page (but not delete them) until an actual mod reviews them?

No. I could give limited mod privs for people to move or delete forum posts, but for the most part, these people don't use the forums.

Perhaps just eliminate the New Member feature on the front page? Sad for sure, but more often then not they are just spammers anyway.

How about all new users would be first reviewed by a mod before they are "approved" and appear on the main page?

There's been some discussion of that. Some are for, some against. Those against worry that by making the site harder to join, it might deter legitimate users. But so many sites out there already require mod activation of accounts.

the only reason most of these are found in the first place is because they show up on the main page.

This is true, but all those members are autodeleted anyway. I believe it takes two weeks. Or are there other concerns than the front page?

If they are spamming people via PM, that is definitely a concern.

PS, I was serious about SP members sending the company in question spam. If you have a spare minute or two, it may be a good idea send them a bunch of messages.
