What if the "website" section in the Profile section were deleted? Maybe old members could be grandfathered in, but genuine members could add there website under "A Few More Words" or something.

I don't know if this will help with the spam that much, but it does seem like it could help slow them down.

I think some more guildlines need to be developed making it more difficult to create a profile. As it is the average idiot can quickly create a bogus profile. It used to be just a periodic occurance, but lately it seems like that's almost all there is. Summitpost has done a great job limiting the amount of spam and other garbage on the site - hopefully the ball does not get dropped on this issue.
