In the past I have reviewed most of the photos submitted by SP members each week. I like photos that show a clear picture of the mountain and that help in route finding. I remember that one member's photos of the Alps kept getting high votes from me, because his photos met those qualities...Cyrill. He contributed greatly to Summitpost.

Very sad news. My condolences to family and friends.

Yes, they got married I think about a year ago.
I remeber a picturedescription by Cyrill on Hikr.org where he for the first time wrote "with wife Tanja on top of.."

Did a bit of googling in order to put a few words on his profile page. Within 7 years - his first climb was in September 2002 he climbed 990 odd summits, 35 4000ers, 272 3000ers. Quite some legwork!

To all who know them, I'm so sorry for your loss. This has been a horrible week for accidents here.

I had been watching his beautiful photos and received from him many valuable advices and informations...He was so young and had so wonderful life and mountain partner-Tanya.
I will miss him very much.

Very tragic for the three of them and those who love them. I always enjoyed Cyrill's photos and am quite impressed with his "resume" of climbs. Big big losses this week for sure.

No, not Cyrill :( !! I was so inspired by his many trips and communicated with him a few times on a trip I was planning to the Alps. This is so sad :(. RIP and condolences to his family and friends.

:( :( :(

Sad indeed. We would contact each other often inquiring about Swiss peaks. I almost went on a hike with him when I was over there last winter. RIP my Swiss brother.
