Don't know if you are being facetious, but thanks. Arrowhead peak is really an attractive option if you want to add something on to Picnic Rock. I enjoyed S Suicide while in your backyard last month...good writeup!
No I'm not being facetious. There must be literally half a million cruisers who have a day in Sitka every year. When I did the inside passage, I did hikes instead of the packaged shore excursions, and I wish there had been something like Summitpost to help me pick the best "quickie." BTW, a lot of us Alaskans get stuck in Sitka for a day, too, but that's a different story (flights diverted from Juneau, over and over again ...).
30 years ago when I lived in Anchorage, it seemed like my diverted flights from Juneau ended up in Seattle or Anchorage. I remember white knuckles while drifting around in snowstorms trying to approach Juneau several times!

Useful additionLots of people find themselves in Sitka for a day, and this lets them know about a nice option.
