Cloudy Summit
My second day on Ilha Grande, once again it was very overcast, not a beach day, so I decided to hike up Papagaio. I had no guide and no GPS, but found routefinding easy - there are signs about every 500m, as well as arrows on rocks and trees and also some tape to mark the way. Saw some howler monkeys on the way up. Cool summit rock, but unfortunately it was very cloudy, spoiling the view. 2hrs up, 1hr10 down (I partly ran down).
Hiked with Marcus Torres and some new brazilian friends we met at the campground (Camping das Palmeiras). Cloud-covered summit, cool day, nice weather.
