Garfimi, I read through your report and enjoyed hearing a first-hand account of your adventures. You also have some beautiful, haunting photos. I love the mist and fog. This might be the only way I can participate in the hikes. Keep posting reports. I know it will be awhile for your next summit, but it will come.
I appreciate your kind words fattylumpkin. It was a great trip. It was a bit dissappointing to not make the summit, but that is how it goes sometimes. I hope to do more reports in the future, but time will only tell.
I've lead the Miner's canyon route about 8 times for the Wasatch Mt Club, late October and early November have turned out well, I canceled a trip in early April once due to weather, had a successful trip the first Sunday of May 2007 but we did have a lot of new snow. Will be doing a WMC trip the last Saturday of October.
I'm glad you found my trip report and photos helpful. I was looking through your photos and only notice three from Pilot. From your photos it looks like you had great weather. Cheers on summiting!
