Pinatubo: End of the line

The gorge kept getting deeper and the current kept getting stronger. I was hoping the terrain would ease up. I surveyed up canyon another 200m but after encountering one waterfall after another, I turned back. After all, this was supposed to only be a dayhike and it was already past noon on the second day. Just below the center rock and between the two cascades, there is a small whirlpool which was about shoulder-deep. As I tip-toed through, I ended up dunking my entire bag containing PC, cellphone and passport.
