Pinnacles Trail up Emory Peak
The Pinnacles Trail up Emory Peak spends much of the hike going through a mixed oak-juniper forest. Most of Big Bend National Park is trackless Chihuahuan Desert, but the elevation in the Chisos Mountains provides some cooler climate, a little more water, and some shelter from the sun.
