South SummitSummited the south peak in a long day. Lots of snow still on the entire ridge and summit made for some heady scrambling on mixed rock and steep snow. Would love to come back and have a go at the true north peak.

Long Slog With Grizzlies AroundSomething like 7000 ft of elevation gain to the south summit. Would like to return in the winter to do the north summit from the highway.

FinallyThis was my second summit of Pioneer Peak, the first was four years ago in late June when a freak snow storm hit while attempting the summit. Beautiful clear weather all day.

North Face and Pioneer RidgeClimbed Pioneer Ridge with Ben Meyer in July 2004. Climbed the North Face with Danny in April 2006 through deep snow in 17 hours. Climbed the North Face with Rachad Reyes in April 2012 in hard snow conditions in 9 hours.
