Great day traverse  Sucess!

Reached Pissis East summit at 16:30 having left high camp at 5750m at 06:30, and gone via Gendarmeria Argentina, CAM, Samore and UPAME tops. Our GPS gave the three highest summits all within 3m!

Solo from the south  Sucess!

Climb from the south through Pissis East III (don't know the route, I was just heading up towards the first visible summit). Went to Pissis Main later that day.

North normal route via East I  Sucess!

Tatiana, Eduardo and I summited PISSIS EAST I and II on the 3rd of march 2007.
Mar del Plata base camp 4580m, Monte PISSIS camp 1 5360m, camp 2 at 5975m on a large flat area with snow to melt.
Up to East I, 6797m (Edu’s GPS) down to large saddle 6666m (Edu’s GPS) giving a re-ascent of a little bit more than 130m
Then up to EAST II, 6799m (Edu’s GPS). Well not a big difference between these two!! As well as with MAIN given 6803m also by Edu’s GPS.
Great view from EAST II, maybe the best one from PISSIS range.
Go down south to “red summit” to have a look at the foot of EAST II and its little lakes. From there, EAST III twin summits appear clearly.
Curiously, no summit book on EAST II but one on EAST I.
Many thanks to Tatiana and Eduardo, info@nasqa.com

Route Climbed: Corax-Saulnier Date Climbed: 2005 February 26  Sucess!

Start just after sunrise. Cold. Good start, but very deep snow at 6600m. Extremely disappointed when I realized it wasn't Pissis Main we had climbed, but the eastern summit. The reason why is a long story, but we had been given the wrong coordinates and climbed on even if it felt wrong. Excellent views from the summit!
