Point 13,214

Point 13,214

Seen from the summit of Geneva Peak. This view is to the south. Visible to the right of the peak is Red Cone, which has a challenging, sometimes-dangerous 4WD road right over the top of it. Front Range, CO-- September 2007

One year ago

Good view.

It was exactly one year ago that I hiked to the summits of the Red Cone and 13214. Saw a bunch of mountain goats just below 13214.

Re: One year ago

Your Santa Fe Peak page, plus my drive up there two years ago, got me interested in Geneva and its neighbors, so this past weekend, I did Geneva, Landslide, Sullivan, and Handcart. I'm working on pages for them, and hopefully they'll be done in a week or two.

We watched the drivers on Red Cone, but I didn't want to take my rental Jeep up it and risk a vehicle that wasn't mine. The drive looked fun, but it's kind of a shame to see such a pretty mountain marred by that road.
