Quick Side Trip  Sucess!

Quick afternoon side trip on our way out of Williamson Bowl. Easy climb. Not the most impressive peak, but a pretty interesting summit area, and great views.Trip Report

late day add on  Sucess!

I would not have guessed this was a mountain but Dave did his research so on our way back to Anvil camp from Trojan peak, we did a short detour up this. It is an unusual mountain that is mainly sand with a few rock blocks at the summit looking more like it belongs in southern Utah.

From Williamson Bowl  Sucess!

Nice and easy bonus peak on the way back from Williamson. A walk-up to summit plateau from top of Williamson Bowl, then a short and easy class 2 scramble to the highest blocks. Excellent views of Big Willy, Tyndall, Keith and others, even down Shepherd Creek and into Owens Valley.

Gagged on Coolaid  Sucess!

One of my first high sierra peaks. Camped below snow line at Mohagany Flat. Got to the top solo, took a big swig of coolaid that went down the wrong way and thought I was gonna die.

Great View  Sucess!

The evening hike from camp was worth it for the great views. Looks not much from above Shepherd Pass, but from Mahogany Flats and Anvil Camp the name is understandable.
