A toxic plant growing in southern California's San Gabriel Mountains. Supposed to give you a fiercer skin reaction than poison oak. Its growth surged after the 2009 Station Fire.

Poodledog Bush

You know I have never heard of the Poodledog Bush before. I never knew it was around...remind me never to roll around in it...no bushwacking there, stay on the trail..

It is definitely nasty stuff. I've talked to people who developed reactions to it and they said it was it a miserable experience. To me, it's hardest to spot in its entirely dry form.

I'm sure...

I'm sure I have seen this harmless looking plant before, but thankfully never had to go through it. I'll make sure to stay clear.
