Luis Mendez HutI needed some help from the following page to help my memory: http://www.pbase.com/splashphoto/popo Based on their elevation I would have been near the 5100m contour just south of the belly glacier. My understanding is this hut is now in ruins. My wife and I are going there around the full moon in January. I will try to spot the ruins and take a GPS waypoint.

Re: Great Photo,I was there on Thursday 1-24-08. I took another picture at close to the same spot, which I have now posted. UTM 14 Q 533109 2118836 elevation 16606' 5062m NAD27 Mexico . The hut ruins are on the knee / la rodilla at 14 Q 538196 2118634 elevation 16561' 5048m. The picture was taken about halfway between the hut in the picture and the south side of the belly glacier.
