I took my friend to climb Mt.Elbert to try and make her fall in love with mountain climbing so I would have a climbing partner. Long story short there ended up being a lot more snow than I was expecting. But she still loved it!

No we didn't summit, but we are going back soon to finish it off. While we were heading down we passed a guy going up I warned him about the conditions and he continued. I found out later that he had to have search and rescue called in to rescue him. Glade we turned around on this one.

That's the best lesson you can learn about climbing. You can always return when the conditions are right for you. The mountain will always be there. Good luck on your return attempt.

Thanks, going back next Sunday. Should be a lot better now. Hopefully the weather cooperates.
