Prisojnik from Vrsic

This is the scenery on winter Vršič road pass, when it's closed for all traffic due to some 4 m of snow. We are looking towards the east, on Tičarjev dom (hut) and the massif of Prisojnik, rising behind it. The normal route goes right on the ridge and then on the other side up across the southern slopes. But in winter it's very rarely done, let alone as a ski descent. Interesting is the hill on the left side. Actually, that's the true Vršič (Which means "peak"), 1737 m, while the road pass has only 1612 m. When higher summit are too dangerous for ascent it can be nice goal of a ski tour. February 14th, 2021.
