Pronghorn on the Plains of San Agustin

A trio of Pronghorn (Antilocapra americana) on the Plains of San Agustin in west-central New Mexico. The Pronghorn is the fastest animal in the Western Hemisphere and among the fastest in the world, having been clocked at 70 mph for about a four-minute span. Photo taken 3/2/08.

Great ...

Do you know that they've extended their range into northern Utah and central Arizona? I see them frequently in Prescott Valley, Arizona. There's even an annual hunt for them, permits only!
