Prospectors Cabin
This cabin, found in the high country of the Okanogan Highlands, has many a story to tell. It was the Fraser Canyon Gold Rush of 1858 that encouraged settlement in the Okanogan Highlands as some prospectors from the lower states took the Okanagan Trail route on their way to the Fraser Canyon. Hard rock mining was not an easy lifestyle and for the most part all the work amounted to very little gain.
