Not a Quail on Square Top Mtn

Hello,
This is NOT a Quail. This is a Ptarmigan - much bigger than a quail and more related to a partridge. They live here at high altitudes all along the Colorado Rockies. Their feathers turn pure white in winter. Nice photo of the Ptarmiagan, you got lucky to even see one!
