Looking back at the second half of the astounding goat trail that connects Ptarmigan Tunnel to Redgap Pass. As long as you locate the correct notch (the "X" at right), it would be impossible to get lost on the route. Note that there are two large snow patches visible on the right; fortunately, we were able to safely down climb around them. If snow completely blocks the route, it's best to turn around unless equipped with ice axe, crampons, and rope. A slip on the goat trail would almost certainly prove fatal.
