Puffin -
Fratercula arctica, (May 2008)
An unmistakable bird with its black back and white underparts, and distinctive black head with large pale cheeks and a tall, flattened, brightly-coloured bill. In Wales the largest colonies exist in Pembrokeshire, however there are also breeding sites on Anglesey and the birds can be seen along the coast of
Snowdonia and the Lleyn Peninsula.
