Pugh Homested in Peace Valley
Aaron Pugh was a Sutter Butte pioneer. He settled in the Sutter Buttes in 1850s and lived there until his death in the 1890s. He was a generous man, inviting Indians of the area onto his property each fall to harvest acorns. Aaron was known to camp out with the Indians. This is a photo of his home taken in the 1940's or so.
