Putting the trails in

Putting the trails in

The two new trails on Badger Mountain were the result of a lot of work. Many of us carried buckets of gravel to help make these trails come to fruition but the key man, Jim L. , put in hundreds if not thousands of hours.

Still there...

I first hiked Badger Mountain on March 22, 2009. Despite the trails being created several years prior, one of those yellow wheelbarrows was still along the trail being used.

Re: Still there...

Jim Langdon, the trailmaster and key guy for the success of the original trails had a work day scheduled for March 20-21st. They'll leave the wheelbarrow there until any remaining gravel is placed. Did you see any gravel piles at the top, just beyond the Hiker Trail sign?

Re: Still there...

Not that I recall, but it is possible some piles were there... I mainly recall seeing the old rocky cairn area at the crest of the trail.
