Lolo to Sweeney Traverse!
Completed the Pyramid Buttes as part of a traverse from the Lolo Peak TH to Sweeney Creek TH!

Trail ran up to Holloway lake with Stefan. Scrambled up to East Pyramid, dropped over to Middle and West. Enjoying this late into October sunny weather and snow-free summits. First high elevation snow comes next weekend.

Climbed all three along with Sweeney peak on the way in. Would be a fun late spring climb.

More Good Times
Predictably hot and buggy this time of year! Camped at Duffy and caught some fish, hiked up the east and middle buttes, skipped the west. The route I ended up taking to the eastern and highest butte went up an easy gully to the ridgeline a bit west of the summit. Had the whole basin and all the gorgeous views to myself. Very thankful to have such beautiful wilderness so close to Missoula!

Three Nice Little Summits
Jim and I hiked to the Holloway Lake on the 10th, set up camp and climbed the Buttes. During our return to the trailhead, we climbed Sweeney Peak along its west ridge just to make the day more interesting.
