Impressive

That is a lot of ground to cover in one day!

Also

Why the "an" in the title? I'm not "an" language specialist but I think "a" would sound and seem better.

:)

Re: Also

Hm... I pronounce it "an are-to-are-to-are experiment," so it sounds fine, but I'm never sure which one to use with acronyms. Let me see if I can change it.

Didn't 'MOCKBA'

succeed in doing a 'north to south to north to Jacob Lk.' in the
dead of winter last year ???

Does anybody know what became of 'MOCKBA?'

Seems like the guy has disappeared completely from this Site.

Re: Didn't 'MOCKBA'

Yes, he skied in from where they close the road, then hiked the canyon. That's still one of my favorite TRs on the site: http://www.summitpost.org/trip-report/482469/Winter-R2R2R-Jacob-Lake-to-South-Rim-and-back.html

Thanks!

I have the Sierra Challenge, and some more time spent peak-bagging full time, to thank for it. I wouldn't recommend the double as a way to see the canyon, but it's a great challenge if, like me, you've visited several times before.

Re: Thanks!

yes true, I have thought about the Sierra Challenge but, I don't know if I could keep up with hikers that are that strong.
