In November 1996 the rebuilt Ramada at Inspiration Point at the top of Castle Canyon was re-dedicated. In the early decades of the last century tourists came here from the Alpine Tavern (now Mount Lowe Trail Camp) about a quarter mile away. March 2, 2008

Era gone by...

Sounds like people knew how to have fun back then. Lofty viewpoints were thought of as inspiring to many people. And they didn't have to contend with cell phones!

thanks. And I guess the view was much better then than now (with less population and air pollution).
