11 hrs to get to the top and back
Started from Ambiko at 3:45am, and were on the top at 8am. Was quite cold, no sun. And the way back to Ambiko seemed to be twice longer than the ascent. But the scenery was magnificent.

Highest in Ethiopia
Beautiful scenery, cool monkeys. Start from Community Lodge to the top in 3 days.
Hired just a required scout and did the peak slowly over 6 days. Scout didn't speak one word of English but he didn't need to. Walked from Debark to the summit and got a ride back from the other side of the pass. Purchased a chicken from one of the villages for $2 and had a delicious dinner.
