"As an adolescent I aspired to lasting fame, I craved factual certainty, and I thirsted for a meaningful vision of human life - so I became a scientist. This is like becoming an archbishop so you can meet girls."

Slot and Six PackTook a beginner for a couple laps on The Slot (5.3) - it's a great confidence booster and surprisingly fun for the grade. (The very first move I thought was more like 5.5, but it gets easier.) We then attempted Six Pack (5.7+). The crux moves at the end are committing, exposed, and a bit muscular (at least the way I flail at them). Lots of fun, though I didn't get the sequence on the first attempt.
The Overlook has metal bars for toprope anchors, but in the Playground area you'll want to bring both long slings for tree anchors and some gear for setting anchors in cracks.
